Temporary Road Closure

Beginning Tuesday, May 9, 2010 at 7:00 a.m. East Lane will be closed at the intersection with Meadow Avenue.  Area residents will need to detour onto Shadoway Drive while work is in progress.  Weather permitting, the road will be re-opened by March 16, 2010.

Streetscape proposals sought

The City of East Peoria is seeking interested parties to develop a comprehensive streetscape plan for the Downtown East Peoria Development Area. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. March 19, 2010. Change clocks and batteries March 13
With the start of daylight-saving time on March 13, the East Peoria Fire Department is reminding residents about Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery. The Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery campaign urges residents to change smoke alarm batteries when changing clocks ahead one hour from from standard time to daylight-saving time. The time change occurs at 2 a.m. March 13.
EPCHS-area parking permits being updated

The East Peoria Police Department is updating the parking permits issued to residents living in the area of East Peoria Community High School. To protect residents' privacy, the permits will have an identification number and will not list specific addresses. Those who currently have an orange parking permit will need to go to the East Peoria Police Department, 201 W. Washington St., within the next 60 days to receive an updated permit, free of charge. Office hours for requesting a permit are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Call Karen at 427-7700 to schedule an appointment for picking up a new permit. Free health screenings March 19

Free blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol and spirometry screenings will be available from the Methodist Wellmobile at EastSide Centre, 1 Eastside Drive, from 8-11 a.m. Friday, March 19. Appointments are not necessary, but fasting is required for two of the tests, two hours for blood glucose and 12 hours for cholesterol.
