The City of East Peoria welcomes the junior high school athletes and fans coming to EastSide Centre May 9-10 for the IESA Class A State Track and Field Finals. Good luck to all athletes!

Branson-style entertainment will occur during the East Peoria Music Revue from 7-9 p.m. May 9 at the FOLEPI Building. This family-friendly show features a variety of musical styles, humor and audience participation.

A ceremony honoring police officers killed in the line of duty will be conducted by the East Peoria Police Department at 1 p.m. May 14. The ceremony, part of National Police Week, May 11-17, will occur at the Public Safety Building, 201 W. Washington St., in front of the memorial stone recognizing East Peoria officers killed in the line of duty.

The parking lot at RiverFront Park is the new location for the East Peoria Carnival, taking place May 14-18. The annual carnival features rides, games, food and wristband nights.
