State representative hosting business roundtable

State Rep. Mike Smith will host a small business roundtable discussion from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Festival Building, 2200 E. Washington St. To RSVP, call 620-8587.

RiverFront Park hosting Kidz Fun Day

Tethered hot air balloon rides, races, games and exotic animals are just part of the activities occuring during Kidz Fun Day, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 25 in RiverFront Park (behind Wal-Mart SuperCenter). This family event is sponsored by the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce, City of East Peoria and a number of community businesses and organizations.

Have coffee with the mayor in September

Mayor Dave Mingus will be available to discuss issues with residents on Wednesdays during Mornings with the Mayor. This event provides residents the opportunity to talk informally with Mayor Mingus from 7-8 a.m. at Eysal's Coffee Roasters, 400 E. Washington St., on Sept. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.

Bloodmobile coming to City Hall

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at East Peoria City Hall, 100 S. Main St., from 1-5 p.m. Sept. 29. Appointments are not necessary. Those donating blood must have vital signs within normal limits and feel well the day of the donation. For more information, call 698-4715.
