The City of East Peoria is seeking interested parties to develop a comprehensive streetscape plan for the Downtown East Peoria Development Area. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. March 19, 2010. The East Peoria Police Department is updating the parking permits issued to residents living in the area of East Peoria Community High School. To protect residents' privacy, the permits will have an identification number and will not list specific addresses. Those who currently have an orange parking permit will need to go to the East Peoria Police Department, 201 W. Washington St., within the next 60 days to receive an updated permit, free of charge. Office hours for requesting a permit are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Call Karen at 427-7700 to schedule an appointment for picking up a new permit. Free blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol and spirometry screenings will be available from the Methodist Wellmobile at EastSide Centre, 1 Eastside Drive, from 8-11 a.m. Friday, March 19.
