Welcome IESA track teams!

The City of East Peoria welcomes the athletes, coaches and fans coming to EastSide Centre for the Illinois Elementary School Association State Track Finals. The Class AA meet, hosted by Central Junior High School will be May 18-19. Good luck to all participants!

Discuss issues over coffee with the mayor

Mayor Dave Mingus will be available to discuss issues with residents on Wednesdays during Mornings with the Mayor. This event provides residents the opportunity to talk informally with Mayor Mingus from 7-8 a.m. at Eysal's Coffee Roasters, 400 E. Washington St., on May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.

Free health screenings May 18 at EastSide

Free blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol and spirometry screenings will be available from the Methodist Wellmobile at EastSide Centre, 1 Eastside Drive, from 8-11 a.m. Friday, May 18. Appointments are not necessary, but fasting is required for two of the tests, two hours for blood glucose and 12 hours for cholesterol. For more information, call Methodist Medical Center, 672-4963.

Spring carnival coming to town

Rides, games and food will be featured at the East Peoria Spring Carnival, occurring May 23-27 at Town Centre II in the old ShopKo parking lot. The carnival will also have two wristband events, allowing unlimited rides with a wristband purchase.

E-Pay now available for water bills, garbage toters

  The City of East Peoria is now accepting electronic payments for water/sewer utility bills and garbage toters! Payments can be made using MasterCard or Visa credit cards. No additional fees are charged for paying online. See the links in the "Quick Links" section on the right side of this page for complete details.

Free car seat checks June 6

Parents can make sure car seats are properly installed in vehicles during a free child car seat check from 1-4 p.m. June 6 at the East Peoria Fire Department's Central Fire Station, 201 W. Washington St.
