Fresh Friday is returning to The Levee District with the opening of the East Peoria Farmer’s Market on June 5! Items available will include produce, fruit, kettle corn, baked goods, and even homemade natural dog cookies. Among the new items this year is fresh meat. Everything is Midwest-grown and regionally produced.
This year's vendors include Grandma & Grandpa's Farm, Green Grocer, Home Sweet Homemade, Galvin Produce, Grey Girl Farms, Meyer Produce, Dough See Dough, Wynhil Golden Acres Farm, Westside Growers, Steak Valley Meats, Cole Smith, Braker's Dozen and Crazy 4 Kettle Corn.
Entertainment will be scheduled on selected weeks. Local artists interested in performing should contact Wendy Faulkner at (309) 427-7615.
Those interested in being vendors at the market can still register. Vendors can sell fresh produce, baked goods, homemade jams and jellies, honey, wine and other goods that they have produced in the State of Illinois. Proof of liability insurance and vehicle insurance, and copies of any necessary state or local license permits are required.
Vendors can participate on a seasonal or weekly basis. Weekly fee is $30 per week, due on or before noon the day of the market the vendor plans to attend.
The addition of a monthly craft fair has been added to the East Peoria Farmer’s Market. The “4th Friday” craft fair will operate during the Farmer’s Market from 3 until 6 p.m. in The Levee District downtown area.
