Fresh Friday!

Fresh Friday is returning to The Levee District with the opening of the East Peoria Farmer’s Market on June 3! Items available will include produce, fruit, baked goods, and even homemade natural dog treats. Everything will be Midwest-grown and regionally produced.

Vendors this year include:

  • Grandma & Grandpa's Farm, Sparland - a fourth generation farm, owners Ginger and Tony raise produce and pasture chickens for both meat and eggs. They use no chemical or synthetic products when raising food for the table.
  • Grey Girl Farms, Deer Creek - Karen bakes five varieties of fresh, homemade, natural dog cookies. Karen also sells hand-folded book art.
  • Galvin Spring Lake Market, Manito - Troy and Jennifer offer a variety of homegrown vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, potatoes and zucchini. Also, they offer homemade goat milk soaps and lotions.
  • Home Sweet Homemade, Pekin - Nancy and her daughter enjoy inventing and perfecting unique recipes. They offer cookies, cakelettes, brownies and breads.
  • Meyer Produce, Forest City - Mark grows a variety of vegetables including watermelon, muskmelon, sweetcorn, snap beans, tomatoes, squash, onions, peppers, potatoes, cucumbers and cabbage.  
  • Green Grocer/Goloff Gardens, Secor - Nick offers basil, various herbs and unusual vegetables.
  • Kickapoo Creek Winery, Edwards - This is a family-owned vineyard and winery and sell a variety of flavored wines.
  • Westside Growers, Canton - Joe offers a variety of fresh produce. He is a biodynamic no-spray market gardener.
  • The Braker's Dozen, Speer - Audrey and Glen make homemade baked goods and sell chemical-free produce, vegetables, fruits, flowers and miscellaneous crafts.
  • Rees Homestead Farms, Putnam - This is a European bakery that makes its bread, Hungarian pies and pastries fresh from scratch daily.
  • Young's Popcorn Heaven, Peoria, IL. The Young's will be selling different flavor popcorn they make and water.
  • Sitka Salmon Shares, Galesburg - This company is a boat to doorstep seafood company.
  • Yankee Lane Alpaca's, Sparland - Donna offers hand spun and hand knitted alpaca fleece, hats, scarves and miscellaneous items. She will be attending the 4th Friday Market.
  • 46th St. Urban Organics, Quad Cities - This booth will have kale and many other organic produce.

Vendors can still sign up for this year's market. Vendors can sell fresh produce, baked goods, homemade jams and jellies, honey, wine and other goods that they have produced in the State of Illinois. Proof of liability insurance and vehicle insurance, and copies of any necessary state or local license permits are required.

Vendors can participate on a seasonal or weekly basis. Vendor rates are:

  • Season - $200
  • Weekly - $30 per week. The fee must be paid at the Planning and Community Development Department at East Peoria City Hall no later than noon the day of the market.
