Boys and girls of all shapes and sizes can play, and it is an excellent form of exercise. Physical benefits include building cardiovascular endurance and muscle strength, helping with coordination, and weight control. Soccer can also help develop discipline, leadership and self-esteem. EastSide Centre's soccer fields host the East Peoria Youth Soccer program and are home field to the East Peoria Community High School boys and girls junior varsity and varsity soccer teams as well as East Peoria's Illinois Central College soccer team.
