Softball East Peoria Softball tournaments are one of the fastest growing events for youth sports across the country and EastSide Centre is known nationally as a destination for premier softball events. EastSide Centre has hosted the Illinois High School Association State Softball Championships for more than a decade, playing host to the best high school teams in the state. The “Super 60” also calls EastSide home and showcases the top 60 high school seniors in the state with a televised broadcast every June. The Great Lakes Valley Conference brings their exciting NCAA Division 2 Softball Championships every year to EastSide Centre. Bradley University and Illinois Central College use the facility on a regular basis. Summer tournaments attract some of the best teams in the Midwest. Teams enjoy weekends filled with great softball and a multitude of family-related activities that make the Peoria area the softball capital of Illinois.

National Softball Association

The National Softball Association partners with EastSide to bring many girls' and women’s teams from throughout the nation to compete at competitive levels for all skill sets. From local qualifiers to state competition to national tournaments, NSA softball plays well at EastSide Centre.

East Peoria Girls Softball offers a progressive softball program for girls ages 5 through 18 and is open to all girls in the area. In-house teams are offered in addition to potentially multiple travel teams within five separate age catagories (10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under, 16 and under, and 18 and under). Games are played on the softball diamonds at EastSide Centre.

Program registration traditionally occurs during the first three Saturdays of February at the Fon du Lac Park District Administration Building. Teams are formed at the beginning of March, and the season runs from June through early August. Try-outs for the travel teams occur in August. The travel teams practice during the winter and play games from March/April through early August.
