DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!

Voter Registration - Anyone residing in the City of East Peoria may register at the City Clerk's office during office hours.

Already registered and need to know where to vote? Don't know what Congressional District you are in? Registered voters may click on the link below to find all the information they need.

WHO IS QUALIFIED TO REGISTER TO VOTE:

   1. A United States citizen
   2. Anyone 17 years old on or before the date of the Primary Election and turning 18 on or before the date of the General Election

   3. A resident of your election precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day

WHO MUST REGISTER:

   1. Every qualified person who desires to vote
   2. Any currently registered person who has had a name change
   3. Any currently registered voter who has failed to transfer his/her registration to their present address and whose registration was cancelled as a result.


WHO MUST TRANSFER THEIR REGISTRATION:

 Any person who has moved to a new address within the City of East Peoria

Two forms of identification are required to register to vote. At least one form must include a current residence (i.e. driver's license, check book, utility bill, a postmarked piece of mail, etc.)

VOTER REGISTRATION DATES AND CUTOFFS FOR YEAR 2016:

General Election:  November 8, 2016

Last Day to Register or change your address at City Hall to be eligible to vote in the General Primary Election:  October 11, 2016

EARLY VOTING FOR GENERAL ELECTION:

The Tazewell County Clerk's office, located in the McKenzie Building, 11 S. 4th Street, Pekin, Illinois, will be open as a p
ermanent site for for early voting.

Early voting will be conducted at the office of the
Tazewell County Clerk from September 29, 2016 through
 November 7, 2016.  Check with the County Clerk's Office for hours.

Temporary Off-Site Early Voting will occur at locations outside of the Tazewell County Clerk's Office.  Please contact the County Clerk's Office for those locations, dates and times.
