A temporary traffic signal being activated June 30 at the intersection of Cole and East Washington streets is expected to cause delays for motorists. Free car seat checks, to ensure child car seats are properly installed in vehicles, will take place from 1-4 p.m. July 1 at the East Peoria Fire Department Central Station, 201 W. Washington St.

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at East Peoria City Hall, 100 S. Main St., from 1-5 p.m. July 1. Appointments are not necessary. Those donating blood must have vital signs within normal limits and feel well the day of the donation. For more information, call 698-4715.

The fourth of five traffic safety campaigns for the Integrated Mini-Grant Enforcement Program (IMaGE) will be conducted June 19 through July 6 by the East Peoria Police Department.
