The largest fireworks display in the state will ignite the sky over the Illinois River between East Peoria and Peoria during the UnityPoint Health Methodist-Proctor Red, White and Boom Independence Day celebration July 4. City offices closed July 3 for Independence Day
East Peoria city offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, in celebration of Independence Day. The East Peoria Farmer's Market will also be closed on July 3. However, the Friday garbage and recycling collection will occur as usual.
