Board of Fire and Police Commission
The Fire and Police Commission Board acts as a civil-service authority in the recruitment, promotion, and discipline for cause of all commissioned police and fire personnel.
Members: Charles Morgan, John Redlingshafer, and Dennis Tucker
Members are appointed by the Mayor with consent of City Council and terms run for three years.
East Peoria Beautification Commission
The East Peoria Beautification Commission recommends to the City Council improvements which will enhance the appearance of the City and its environs.
East Peoria Housing Authority
The East Peoria Housing Authority has distinct corporate authority established to provide housing for low-income residents of East Peoria.
Members: Steve Flinn, Steven Freeze, David Riber, Karen McClelland, and Tami Meischner
Members are appointed by the Mayor with consent of City Council and terms run for five years.
Firefighter's Pension Board
The Firefighter's Pension Board controls the management of funds belonging to or designated by law as part of the firemen's pension fund and the administration of such funds as provided by statute.
Members: Randy Hurd, Interim Fire Chief John Knapp, Jeffery Becker, Justin Hale, and John Raymer
Two members are appointed and those terms run for three years.
Police Pension Board
The Police Pension Board manages, invests, and controls the police pension fund and all monies pertaining thereto, in the manner provided by statute and to pay beneficiaries as provided by law.
Members: Steve Martin, Jeffery Becker (Treasurer), Terry Schultz, Bill McWhirter, Todd Vititow, and William Fitzgerald
Two positions are appointed by the Mayor with consent of City Council and those terms run for two years.
Human Relations Commission
The Human Relations Commission promotes, fosters, encourages, and stimulates understanding, harmonious relationships, a spirit of charity, and practical cooperation among all groups and individuals, to the end that the City may grow and advance in wholesome, collective achievement and in the field of individual opportunity.
Members: Dan Decker, Rich Brodrick, Tim Lee, Dr. Chuck Nagel, John Kahl, Jim Weber, Tony Ingold, and Rick Swan
Members are appointed by the Mayor with consent of the City Council and terms run for three years.
Mass Transit District Board of Trustees
The Mass Transit District Board of Trustees recommends needs and policies regarding public transit to the City Council.
Members: Debra Bloomfield, Mischelle Evans, Earl Franks, Lori Giebelhausen, Jeffery Becker (Treasurer), and Michael LaHood
Members are appointed by the Mayor with consent of the City Council and terms run for four years.
The Planning Commission oversees the City’s comprehensive plan and subdivision ordinance. It reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council regarding the comprehensive plan, developmental needs, proposed annexations, planned unit developments, and subdivisions of property.
Members: Richard Cridlebaugh, Alice Anthony, Corby Gorman, Allen Hahn, Michael Bruner, Dennis Paluska, and Andrew Paulson

Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals reviews, ensures compliance with and recommends to the City Council requests for the rezoning of parcels, the granting of special uses, amendments to the Zoning Ordinance and creations of planned unit developments.
Members: Mark Hill, Michael MCCarthy, Michael Kelley, Belinda Young, Deno Ori, Jim Weber, and Ed Zosky
