The primary mission of the Human Resources Department is to:
Serve all Departments in recruiting and retaining the highest quality workforce.
Serve all employees with exceptional benefit administration and employment services. We are dedicated to promoting the efficiency and effectiveness of governmental operations by the application of sound Human Resource Management practices and by utilizing our creativity and available resources to anticipate the needs of those we serve.
The Human Resources Department is responsible for administering the City’s comprehensive employment and benefits programs, including but not limited to, Group Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life/AD&D Insurance, Payroll, FMLA, Labor Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Workforce Planning, Strategic Planning, Risk Management & Safety, Employee Wellness, and Equal Employment Opportunity.
