FOLEPI River Trail Classic

For the second consecutive year, Jacki McKown of Brimfield outran all the other women to win the overall female division of the Festival of Lights’ FOLEPI River Trail Classic, a four-mile run on the River Trail of Illinois which occurred Nov. 28. Winning the overall men’s division was Guillermo Rolan of Peoria. There were 392 entrants in this year’s race.

    Rolan, 37, had a time of 20:40 minutes, earning the overall top spot for the men. McKown ran the course in 24:37 minutes.

    Age group winners were:

  • Age 1-10: Women – first place, Aleyna Quinn of Newburg, Ind.; second place, Kaylee Fisher of Peoria; third place, Kate Woods of Washington; Men – first place, Ethan Chadwick of Washington; second place, Caden Chadwick of Washington; third place, Patrick Cleary of Normal.
  • Age 11-14: Women – first place, Daelyn Quinn of Newburg, Ind.; second place, Abby Banister of Peoria;  third place, Hadley Dornon of Peoria; Men – first place, Luke Yocum of Mapleton; second place, Jesse Golden of Green Valley; third place, August Hug of Ft. Thomas, Ky.
  • Age 15-19: Women – first place, Ally Watson of East Peoria; second place, Meghaan Rest of Washington; third place, Natalie Park of Morton; Men – first place, Brennan Guido of St. Joseph; second place, Ben Lange of Washington; third place, Garrett Belden of East Peoria.
  • Age 20-24: Women – first place, Hannah Magnuson of Normal; second place, Blaire Martin of Mackinaw; third place, Morgan Fleming of Peoria; Men – first place, Kyle Thompson of Metamora; second place, Mike Petravick of Washington; third place, Nathan See of Pekin.
  • Age 25-29: Women – first place, Melinda Jordan of Bartonville; second place, Amy Unzicker of O’Fallon; third place, Hope Grebner of Des Moines, Iowa; Men – first place, Brad Reach of Metamora; second place, Robert Bibens of West Des Moines, Iowa; third place, Preston Anderson of Hanna City.
  • Age 30-34: Women – first place, Julie Burwell of East Peoria; second place, Kristi Melton of Lincoln; third place, Debbie Harris of Morton; Men – first place, Jason Hurst of Peoria; second place, Dan Bobbitt of Pittsburg, Penn.; third place, Lucas Miles of Bloomington.
  • Age 35-39: Women – first place, Anna Kinkade of Peoria; second place, Charice Chick of Pekin; third place, Erinn Reising of Morton; Men – first place, Jason Young of Chillicothe; second place, Gary Savage Jr. of Bloomington; third place, Mitchell Hurst of Delavan.
  • Age 40-44: Women – first place, Rebecca Hug of Ft. Thomas, Ky.; second place, Tina Bajic of Pekin; third place, Robin Mefford of Pekin; Men – first place, Jason Zaborowski of Peoria; second place, Steve Laning of Normal; third place, Jeremy Malson of Metamora.
  • Age 45-49: Women – first place, Barb McKown of Brimfield; second place, Brenda Shawgo of Canton; third place, Heidi Schmitt of Waiawa, Hawaii; Men – first place, Mike Heffron of El Paso; second place, Dave Nordheim of Washington; third place, Kelly McBride of Normal.
