The Festival of Lights pays tribute to those in the military! East Peoria's RiverFront Park along the Illinois River will feature lighted emblems from each branch of the military, and lighted displays such as the toy tank and American flag parade floats.
Also on display will be memorials for East Peorians lost in World War I, World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War, as well as a memorial for the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

The giant inflatable snowman welcomes all coming to the Festival of Lights. |
Other Festival of Lights Displays Located throughout East Peoria are other lighted displays, including an inflatable waving snowman which will be located at EastSide Centre, 1 EastSide Drive, and the official City of East Peoria Christmas Tree, located at City Hall, 100 S. Main St.
The 35-foot wreath on Fon du Lac Drive welcomes all to the Festival of Lights. The wreath is actually a Ferris wheel, and has been a part of the festival for each of its 26 years.
A 17-foot-tall lighted star shines off Springfield Road. In addition, many businesses and homes are decorated for the duration of the Festival of Lights.
