Executive Director - East Peoria Housing Authority
The City of East Peoria is seeking a highly qualified leader to be the Executive Director of the East Peoria Housing Authority (EPHA). An intergovernmental agreement is utilized to outline the relationship between the City of East Peoria and the EPHA. The Housing Authority consists of 260 Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers; 100 of them are Project Based. The City is looking for an assertive, organized, creative individual, committed and passionate about serving the community.
The Executive Director is responsible for providing the overall leadership, direction, and operational and financial management of the Authority and is the primary advisor for the Board of Commissioners. The Director is very hands on which includes, but is not limited to the following: conducting new tenant orientation meetings, working with port-in clients and new clients off the waitlist through lease-up, and conducting HQS inspections.
The Executive Director oversees compliance with the organization’s mission and must maintain integrity as a City employee. He/she will be expected to fulfill the key responsibilities in the areas for federal regulation compliance and leadership and community relations.

Unwavering ethical standards and integrity;
Understanding and experience in affordable housing Section 8 programs;
Ability to lead in an environment that requires navigating federal regulations and effective collaboration with partner organizations and individuals from diverse backgrounds;
Demonstrated success in maintaining a sustainable agency with positive cash flow;
At least five years successful senior management experience, including experience with federally subsidized housing programs.
High degree of knowledge of financial management practices, internal controls, budgeting and financial reporting;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Effective computer skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Housing Quality Standard knowledge and skill; or the ability to acquire such to perform HQS inspections;
A Bachelor's Degree with five (5) years or more of related work experience.
Residency within 20 miles of City’s corporate limits is required along with physical and drug screening. Salary for this position depending on qualifications and experience. The position will remain open until filled.

The East Peoria Police Department is looking for a full-time Telecommunicator. This involves shift work including overtime, weekends and holidays. Must perform multiple duties simultaneously under stressful conditions. Requires high level of communication during emergency/non-emergency situations and ability to effectively communicate verbally and to employ selective attention to detail in environment with distractions. Must type accurately at least 35 wpm, be at least 18 and have high school diploma. Physical and drug screening required. This is a union position.

Group Exercise Instructors
EastSide Centre is looking for part-time Group Exercise Instructors. No experience is necessary. Candidates must have an outgoing, fun-loving personality, be a team player, have a desire to motivate others through fitness instruction, and have a passion for fitness. Willingness to learn, become certified and be mentored to become the best Group Exercise Instructor possible is a must.
EastSide Centre currently offers group exercise programs in Group Step, Group Power, Turbo Kick, PiYo, Yoga/Pilates, R.I.P.P.E.D., PILOXING, and a SilverSneakers Fitness Program. Individuals already trained and/or certified with experience teaching any of these programs are encouraged to apply.
