DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!
Voter Registration - Anyone residing in the City of East Peoria may register at the City Clerk's office during office hours. Absentee ballot applications are also available during election years.
WHO IS QUALIFIED TO REGISTER TO VOTE:
1. A United States citizen
2. Anyone 18 years old by election day
3. A resident of Illinois for 30 days prior to the election
WHO MUST REGISTER:
1. Every qualified person who desires to vote
2. Any currently registered person who has had a name change
3. Any currently registered voter who has failed to transfer his/her registration to their present address and whose registration was cancelled as a result.
WHO MUST TRANSFER THEIR REGISTRATION:
Any person who has moved to a new address within the City of East Peoria
Two forms of identification are required to register to vote. At least one form must include a current residence (i.e. driver's license, check book, utility bill, a postmarked piece of mail, etc.)

EARLY VOTING FOR PRIMARY ELECTION:
The Tazewell County Clerk's office, located in the McKenzie Building,
11 S. 4th Street, Pekin, Illinois, will be open as a temporary site for
for early voting (not excuse voting).
Early voting (no excuse voting) will be conducted at the office of the
Tazewell County Clerk from Monday, March 16, 2009 through
Thursday, April 2, 2009. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday through Friday; and 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturdays;
and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays.
Voters casting an early ballot must display a current driver's license,
a state-issued ID card or another government-issued ID with a photograph.
