Festival Queen and Court Continuing Reign in 2020
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and multiple safety protocols that would need to be in place, the Festival of Lights Queen Pageant Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the pageant for 2020.
Therefore, 2019 Festival Queen Chloe Rogers and her court, First Runner-up Jadelyn Everett and Second Runner-up Jexie Bolding, will continue their reign through 2020.
Rogers and her court will ride on a float in the 36th annual Festival of Lights Parade November 21. She will also reign over festivities for the 2020 Festival of Lights, make appearances at community events in 2021 and crown the 2021 queen.
Festival Queen Chloe Rogers was crowned at the conclusion of the 2019 Festival of Lights Queen Pageant. She received a $1,000 college scholarship and a package of prizes donated by local businesses. First Runner-up Jadelyn Everett and Second Runner-up Jexie Bolding also received prizes.
Contestants had to be residents of East Peoria, students at East Peoria Community High School or alumni of EPCHS; be single and between the ages of 16 and 20. They were judged on poise, appearance, personality and a final question.
