The 2018 Festival of Lights royalty is Queen Abby Eggemeyer (center), first runner-up Rebecca Ransom (left) and second runner-up Chloe Rogers (right).
Abby Eggemeyer, 16, is the 2018 Festival of Lights Queen. A a junior at East Peoria Community High School, she is the daughter of John and Nicole Eggemeyer.
First runner-up is Rebecca Ransom, 17, an EPCHS senior and the daughter of Sheila and Steve Ransom.
Second runner-up is Chloe Rogers, 16, an EPCHS sophomore and the daughter of Kay and Pam Rogers.
The queen receives a $1,000 college scholarship and a package of prizes donated by local businesses. The first and second runners-up also receive prizes.
The queen and her court will ride on a float in the 34th annual Festival of Lights Parade November 17. The queen will also reign over all festivities for the 2018 Festival of Lights, make appearances at community events in 2019 and crown the 2019 queen.
