Due to the COVID-19 stay-at-home order which has been extended to May 30, the Clean Sweep event has been cancelled. The decision to cancel was made out of concern for the health and well-being of the event’s volunteers and participating residents.
The City is looking at rescheduling the event or conducting it in a modified format when feasible. Updates will be posted when available.
About Clean Sweep
Individuals and teams can participate in the effort to pick up trash in high-traffic areas of the City. Volunteers will gather at the Festival Building at 2200 East Washington Street at 8 a.m. The Clean Sweep will occur from 8:30 a.m. until noon, followed by door prize drawings. The City will supply gloves, reflective safety vests and trash bags.
