Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Historic Holiday Traditions open houses have been cancelled for 2020. Be sure to come to the event in 2021.
Historic Holiday Traditions is a look back to holiday celebrations of the 1800s in East Peoria's oldest home, the Doering Homeplace, 326 Pekin Ave., presented by the East Peoria Historical Society. In 2020, the homeplace turned 140 years old. During a Historic Holiday Traditions open house, the Doering Homeplace is decorated for the holidays with ornaments similar to those used in the 1800s. Admission is free.
