Folepi Town, Track Down

Congratulations Kara Gauwitz

Kara Gauwitz of East Peoria tracked it down! Kara's name was drawn Monday, December 19 from all entries in the Folepi Town Track Down photo hunt contest by East Peoria Mayor John Kahl while contest co-chairperson Sandi Armstrong held the entry slips basket. So what was the photo, and where is it at? It is the stained glass window above the entrance to Imagine Schilling Photography and Blush Studio, 113 E. Washington St. Congratulations Kara, and thanks to everyone who entered the contest.

Photo Hunt Dates

  • The hunt will run Monday, December 5 through noon Sunday, December 18.
  • One winner's name will be drawn from all entries on Monday, December 19

Those who find a very specific location in East Peoria have a chance to win prizes in the 2nd annual Folepi Town, Track Down photo hunt.

The event is open to residents from throughout the area. A picture of something in East Peoria is at the top of this webpage. There are no clues, just the photo, and people will need to try and find the location in East Peoria.

Those who can figure out the location will go to either EastSide Centre, 1 EastSide Drive, or the East Peoria Civic Plaza in the area between East Peoria City Hall and Fondulac District Library, 401 W Washington Street, and fill in a finders’ slip telling what the picture is and where they saw it in detail, their name and phone number. The finders’ slip will then be deposited into a box for a prize drawing.

Those participating in the photo hunt must be respectful of property and park in safe locations that do not block traffic.

Prize Drawing

From all finders' slips, one person's name will be drawn on Monday, December 19. That person will win:

  • A $50 VISA gift card
  • Five passes to the Folepi's Winter Wonderland drive-through display
  • A 12-month membership to EastSide Centre
  • Two overnight hotel stays, one each from Residence Inn by Marriott and Holiday Inn Express
