The public can once again attend East Peoria City Council meetings in person in the council chambers, effective immediately. The city council has discontinued conducting public meetings via Zoom Meetings. Regularly scheduled East Peoria City Council meeting occur at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of the month.
Public comments can be made in person during the meetings in the council chambers at 401 W Washington Street. There are two public comment periods, at the beginning of the meeting on agenda items and at the end on non-agenda items.
Social distancing measures will be required, and staff and public seating will be spaced adequately apart.
The city council meetings will continue to be shown via Facebook Live and recordings of past meetings can be viewed online.

Through the end of June, other city commission and board meetings will continue to be held remotely and the specific remote platform will be detailed in the meeting agenda. Starting Wednesday, July 1, those board and commission meetings will be conducted with public attendance and in-person comments.
