Motorists making their morning commute on Wednesday, September 23 will encounter some temporary road closures due to the arrival of The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall.
West Washington Street from Clock Tower Drive to Richland Street will be closed to traffic from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m. In addition, Washington Street from the Interstate 74 off-ramp, in front of Central Junior High School, to Spinder Drive and Richland Street will be closed in increments at the intersections starting at approximately 10 a.m. to allow the wall’s formal motorcycle escort to pass through on its way to Levee Park.
The traveling wall will be displayed in Levee Park in the 400 block of West Washington Street.
