[ARCHIVED] City offers two cooling centers

Residents needing to cool off because they do not have air conditioning or it is not working can go to two East Peoria facilities during normal business hours:
East Peoria Civic Plaza at 401 W. Washington St., open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
EastSide Centre at 1 EastSide Drive, open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
