[ARCHIVED] Nominating papers available for East Peoria City Council seats

Election season is approaching for East Peoria City Council candidates.

Nominating petitions and related nomination papers for the April 4, 2023 consolidated election are available beginning today, Friday, September 9, online on the City's website and at the City Clerk's Office during regular business hours at East Peoria City Hall, 401 W Washington Street.

Nominating petitions can be circulated starting Tuesday, September 20.

Positions open in the election are mayor and four city commissioner seats. All the positions are for four-year terms. The nominating petitions and nominating papers will be available through Monday, December 19, 2022.

The nomination petitions and nomination papers for City of East Peoria mayor and city commissioner must be filed December 12-19, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the City Clerk’s Office at East Peoria City Hall, 401 W Washington Street, East Peoria, Illinois 61611.

Potential candidates can also visit the Illinois State Board of Elections website at www.elections.il.gov to view the State of Illinois Candidate's Guide 2023 which contains all the requirements, forms and dates.
