Water valve and sewer line replacement work will result in the outside lane closures of East Washington Street between Cole Street and Springfield Road starting Monday, July 31. The lane reductions will last approximately two weeks, until Friday, August 11.
According to the East Peoria Public Works Department, the work is being done prior to the resurfacing of Washington Street by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Motorists can expect delays in the work area and should consider the use of alternate routes.
